Polaris ranger won't start.

It turns over fine. Just won't catch and start. Like it's not getting fuel. Tank is full. Battery is strong. 2011 800 Cranks but won't start? My RZR was borrowed by the criminal element in Amarillo Texas but thanks to the local PD was returned to me after a couple of weeks. The only thing different was the ignition switch had been changed. It didn't look like it had been used.So the other day I took a ride up hill on my block and into 5min in my ride I felt a loss of power for jus a few seconds and it went back to normal but as I kept …towed ranger back to the house and checked the codes which showed 51 and 52. looked under the hood at the ECM and found that three of the wires had burnt out two on one connector and one on the other. Replaced the connector and ECM thinking that problem was fixed, but still no go. the ranger will turn over but will not start.

I did put fuel treatment in it the end of the year before we shut down for the season. Now this season (a year) later I drain the gas put fresh gas in and it starts and runs a bit rough which I would assume after sitting. Then follow the positive cable back to the solenoid that is mounted on the frame. Make sure these connections are clean and tight. Follow the wire to the starter and verify that connection is clean and tight. That would be my first step in troubleshooting. Verify your frame ground is clean and tight too. Like.My two pesos worth on troubleshooting starting issues. 1. Check battery terminals for tightness (including chassis ground) check voltage with meter, if under 11.9 vdc put charger on it. From there it should hold pressure and the pump should run while cranking to keep pressure to the system.
